One day,a dog went to a meat❶ shop.The man in the shop gave a piece❸ of meat to the dog.The dog took it and walked home happily❸.一天,一只狗去肉店。商店的人给狗一块肉。这只狗叼起它,高兴地往家走。

There was a small river near its❹ home.The dog walked on a piece of wood❺ to cross❻ the river.在它家的附近有一条小河。这只狗走在一块木头上过河。

It saw another❼ dog in the water.That dog had a piece of meat in its mouth,too.“That piece of meat is better than mine,”it thought.“I’m going to get it.”它看见了水里面的另一只狗。那只狗的嘴里也有一块肉。“那块肉比我的这块肉好，”它想。“我要得到它。”

The dog opened its mouth.It wanted the other dog’s meat.这只狗张开了嘴。它想要另一只狗的肉。

Its meat dropped❽ into the water.它的肉掉进了水里。

That’s right.The dog lost❾ its meat.对了。这只狗丢了它的肉。
