M:Hello,everyone.My name’s Sam Thomas.I’m from WSP,short for Worldwide Students Project.It is a service organization which was set up to improve international understanding.Now we’ve got volunteers from 30 different countries working around the world.If you’re interested in joining us,I’d like to tell you about some of the projects.There are three kinds of projects to choose from:short-term projects lasting two or three weeks,medium-term projects lasting between one and six months and long-term projects which can be up to a year.

The first project I’d like to tell about is in Japan.It’s a village improvement project.You’d be working with local people,so you need knowledge of Japanese for that.It is for three weeks.

The next one is a children’s holiday centre in Poland.The work includes painting rooms,gardening and things like that.It’s a medium-term one lasting six weeks.

The final project is for the medical students here.There is a placement in a centre for disabled children in India.You’d be providing medical care there.You’ll work six months there,so you can get plenty of experience and do something for the disabled children.
