　　Almost every woman knows about Gabrielle Chanel.Chanel’s clothes have been popular among women all over the world.

　　Gabrielle Chanel was born in France in 1883.She was born into a poor family.Her mother died when Chanel was six.Later on, her father drove her out of her home.Chanel was brought up by her aunt.

　　Chanel took the name Coco when she worked as a cafe singer in 1905.With the help of some friends, she opened her first store in Paris in 1910.Coco made some smart hats and the hats soon became popular among some rich women.In the 1920s, Chanel became famous in Paris.Her clothes were nice and comfortable.They made women be able to dress differently and have a new look.Later on, people in other countries learned about her clothes and fell in love with them.
