M:Pablo Picasso was born on October 25,1881 in Malaga,Spain.His father was an art teacher.Picasso showed an interest in drawing very early.At the age of 7,Picasso began receiving drawing lessons from his father.Picasso learned to draw very realistic paintings of people and objects,just like the old masters.In 1895,Pablo began attending the school of fine arts.As a student,he lacked discipline,but he made friends and continued to grow as an artist.Then he attended school in Madrid.In 1900,Picasso went to Paris,which was the art capital of Europe.While in Paris,Picasso’s work began to attract the attention of art collectors.Here,he pleased many art collectors and met French artist Henri Matisse.The two became lifelong friends.In 1907,Picasso and another artist created the art movement known as“Cubism”,in which different views of subjects were shown at the same time.For example,a Cubist artist might show the side and front of a person’s face.This style looked very different from the classical paintings.Picasso’s paintings are described in different periods,such as the Blue Period and the Rose Period.He lived to be 91 years old.
