M:I was looking forward to visiting Paris with my family this summer. But now I’m worried. My feet sometimes hurt and I can’t walk a long distance.
W:That shouldn’t stop you from enjoying that beautiful city. There are lots of ways to see Paris that don’t need much walking.
M:I didn’t know that.What are they?
W:You can always take a bus trip.It goes everywhere. Then there are the boat trips along the river that give you another view of the city. It’s very beautiful. You must do it.

M:Hello. This is Martin Hill.I’m ringing to see what flats you have for rent at the moment.
W:Are you looking for a flat for yourself? Or a family perhaps?
M:Well,it’s for three of us:myself and two friends — we’re going to share together.
W:I see. What about employment — are you all students?
M:Oh no,we’ve all got full-time jobs — two of us work in the Central Bank, that’s Chris and me,and Phil — that’s the other one…is working for Hallam Cars.
W:I suppose you’ll be looking for somewhere with three bedrooms?
M:Yeah — at least three. But actually we’d rather have a fourth room as well for friends staying over.

Text 9
W:In today’s program we have the famous actor,Peter Jameson, who is known above all for his classical roles on stage, particularly in Shakespeare plays.Peter, was it your choice to appear so often in this type of play?
M:Well, that’s an interesting question.Actually,I’ve always seen myself as an actor,a professional actor doing whatever comes along, rather than classical roles,Shakespeare and so on,although of course I do find those wonderful.
W:I remember seeing you playing many big parts. You must have had lots of words to remember. How can you manage that?
M:It was a gift originally.I’ve always had a sort of photographic memory, right from my earliest childhood. My subject at university was history actually, for which a memory is basic.
W:Some of your theatre performances have been recorded and shown on TV.Have you ever watched them?
M:I’ve always avoided watching myself anyway.Though I’m satisfied with my performance on stage,I still feel foolish to see myself on TV.It makes me feel strange and embarrassed.
W:OK,thank you very much,Peter.
听第10段材料,回答第17至20题。
Text 10
W:I never thought I’d be the type to go on a cookery course! My mum and my sister always used to laugh at me,because though I love eating,I couldn’t make anything myself. Then one day my cousin decided she wanted to have cooking classes. She didn’t want to do them on her own, though.I agreed to go along. You could do one-day,three-day or one-week courses. We thought a week should be enough to get us started,so we chose that during the summer holidays.
When we got there on the first morning, loads of people had already arrived.I knew it was a popular course, with lots of teenagers like me there. What I hadn’t expected was that there’d be so many teachers — you got plenty of help that way and I certainly needed it.
We learnt how to make a cake in the first class. And that was a really good way to get started.Another thing we did was to go out and visit places — though we didn’t go to any restaurants. But there were a few markets nearby. And we visited one of the best ones.We passed a couple of supermarkets on the way,but we didn’t go in.
