W:No.I’ve just started working actually.I am teaching maths in a middle school.

W:Well, we need a girl who’s dependable.
M:Yes.If she doesn’t show up on time, everything will be ruined.

M:That’s true. The performance requires a lot of practice. It’s hard work. And we don’t have much time before the school’s art festival.Besides, it’s a challenging role, so she has to be smart.
W:So who have we got? How about Nancy? She’s both dependable and hard-working.
M:But sometimes she’s a bit slow.Janet is smart, but she’s lazy.How about Katie?
W:Yes, she has all of the qualities we’re looking for.She has something else as well. She can sing and dance really well.
M:Great! We’d better give her a call right now.Today is October 11 and we have only nine days left.

W:Someone who loves dogs. You know I always take my pet dog while I travel somewhere. And someone who is a bit like me.
M:You mean someone always on the move doing things?

Text 10
In the summer of 2018, a game took place in the famous Wembley Arena in London.Over 12,000 fans were there shouting and cheering loudly. But this wasn’t a football, basketball or tennis match. It was e-sports and the prize money for the game was £3 million.
Now so many people play games for fun. Some of them have made playing games their full-time job. However, it is not an easy job.The players practise for many hours a day and they also study videos of other players to look for ways to beat them.
But are e-sports really sports? Are the players athletes? Some say no.They think e-sports players don’t need to run, jump or throw like players in other sports. At the moment, the UK government classifies e-sports as kinds of games, not as sports. But in China and South Korea, e-sports are already sports. For many e-sports fans and players, the most important thing is that e-sports are becoming more and more popular. If e-sports are not as important as other sports at the moment, I’m sure it will be in the near future.
