Text 10
When shall we have 3-D printers that can actually print anything we want? I think the day is not very far off.In the Netherlands, 3-D printed houses will soon come into life, which is the first country to build such houses.
Scientists plan to build five houses with 3-D printers. The first house will be finished at the end of 2025.It will be a three-bedroom house. For the first house, only the walls will be 3-D printed.A 3-D printer will print them with special cement that looks like cream. The printer will print them layer upon layer. After that, workers will make them strong.
By the time they start working on the fifth house consisting of three floors and three bedrooms, the scientists hope that most parts of the house will be made with 3-D printing.Even the pipes and the windows can be made with a 3-D printer.
The 3-D printed houses have many advantages. For example, they use less cement than traditional houses. It is good for reducing pollution.
